Large schools of Pilchards have been showing up lately, drawing in a variety of swimmin’ critters. Redfish have been populating the bays and backwaters as of late coupled with short to mid size Snook. Nearshore has been pretty good, with Tarpon, large Spanish Mackeral and a few Kings showing up off of the beaches… been sticking a few nice grouper nearshore as well.
Been getting a number of reports of Pompano off the beach and in the passes but haven’t had an opportunity to go see for myself. The crab pots were put out a few weeks ago and are holding some small to mid-range Triple tail. All in all, this month has been providing plenty of opportunities for bagging a variety of species.
