The fishing has been red hot during the last few weeks; with Trout, Snook, Triple Tail, Sheepshead and Black Drum being the most cooperative.
Day time charters in the backcountry have consisted of catching plenty of small Trout as well as some decent Snook. Sheepshead and Pompano have been hanging in some of the deeper channels and have provided my clients with many hours of entertainment. Small Redfish have been around and willing to chew, but the larger one’s have been a bit temperamental. I’ve also had a few great Triple Tail trips on those days when the Gulf is nice and flat.
Nearshore has been equally good with Trout being caught off of the beach. Red Grouper and Large Grunts have been providing plenty of action on those days when conditions are suitable to head out 4 or 5 miles.
