Hungry Snook everywhere!

By March 14, 2015March 2nd, 2018Fishing Reports

May, June and July are usually some of the best months to fish here in Southwest Florida. The only exception this year is that the Snook fishing has been and continues to be some of the best that I can remember.

On some of my most recent trips, during the last few weeks, we have been getting into large schools of holed up Snook. What this has meant for some of my anglers is record breaking days on the water with a single client pulling as many as 50 Snook out of a single spot.

The Tarpon have been less prevalent this year over years past, so I haven’t really been targeting them all that much… but they are around!

Redfish are scattered, but we have been getting a few as by catch on every Snook trip.

Nearshore has been just as active with a mix of Snapper, Grouper and Sharks hanging within 7 miles of the beaches.
